Friday October 30th
8:00 am Healthy Park Healthy Person (Group Jog) – Fall is upon us! That doesn’t mean we can’t stay in shape! Be a part of Henry Horton’s Healthy Park Healthy Person program. For more information visit www.hhsphealth.com or email email@example.com
5:00 pm Hayless Hayride – HAYYY boys and girls a wagon ride without any hay is the only way to spend your day! Meet Chelsey outside of the camp store to enjoy an evening ride through the park.
6:00 pm Bat Flyers- Bats are incredible creatures. Although a little spooky! Meet Chelsey at the campstore to learn about bats and make a fun craft.
Saturday October 31st
7:00 am Farmers market– Come support the park and its neighbors at Henry Horton State Park’s farmers market. Be ready to buy fresh and healthy produce from local community growers. The market will be open from 7:00am – 12:00pm.
9:00 am Wilhote Mill Trail Hike – Henry Horton State Park is full of wonderful nature and history. Enjoy a morning hike with Chelsey as she takes you back in time to experience some of amazing history on the beautiful banks of the Duck River. Wear appropriate shoes for an easy 1 mile hike.
10:30 am Birds of Prey– Birds of Prey are highly protected and an important part of the ecology of our forests. At Henry Horton State Park, we are a bird of prey rehabilitation center. Meet Ranger Crowley at the Camp store for an up close personal introduction to one of our birds, Henry!
12:30 pm Meet Mitch the Snake– Here is your chance to learn the truth about our slithery friends. Meet Chelsey at the camp store where you will learn about snakes and the important role they play in our ecosystem.
2:00 Halloween Pet Rock- Meet Chelsey at the campstore to paint a rock to remember your time at Henry Horton State Park.
3:30 pm Hickory Ridge Nature Hike – Henry Horton State Park is full of amazing places to explore! Meet Chelsey at the Camp store with your walking shoes on for a nature hike along the Hickory Ridge Trail to learn all about what makes this park so special. Wear good hiking shoes, be dressed for the weather, and ready for an easy 1.5 mile hike.

Sunday October November 1st
9:00 am Meet Mitch the Snake– Did you miss Mitch yesterday? Come learn about our slippery slithery friend. Meet Chelsey at the camp store for an introduction to snakes, and maybe a chance to pet one!
10:00 am River Trail Hike– The Duck River supports an incredible amount of life. Walk along the Duck River to a 20 foot observation deck that overlooks a native grass field. Meet Chelsey at the campstore for a 3 mile hike. Bring water and wear appropriate shoes.
